Charter schools are a great improvement over the traditional public school system. They open doors to improvements in our public education. Of course, there will be people who would not like this change. There is always a resistance to any change, after all. I believe Magnolia Schools are being targeted by a few people who are not comfortable with the charter school system. They’re trying to label Magnolia as Gulen charter schools, whatever that means..
There is a competition that comes with charter schools. Now public schools have to compete for teachers, students and more than all, for funding. We live in the US and this is a country of freedom, thus freedom of enterprise. This country’s education will improve with additional school choice alternatives, not with waiting for “Superman”. I believe all public schools should be more like charter schools. We should all support charter schools.
